Audible Book Review – Victim Six by Gregg Olsen

This was my second Audible.com book. The first I enjoyed immensely, so I had great expectations for this book.

51b1ue6eyqL._SL300_ Unfortunately, for me, it was a bit of a let down. More so the deliverance of the book that the books content. The narrator for this particular book was too animated for my liking and it was distracting and took away from the books content. I don’t believe the narrator needs to put on voices that that in a child’s book to keep a reader’s attention. The first audible book I listened to did not do it, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. So for this reason, I find that I’m more inclined to urge potential readers to perhaps read the ebook or hardback copy rather than listening to it.

In saying that, there was two issues I had with the book. It was a little slow in some places, and I felt the transitions were used too often and could be confusing at times. However, I did enjoy the ending, and felt that the antagonist was a well written character.

I do look forward to reading more from this author, although I will be mindful to check who the narrator is on future audible books to ensure that I don’t get this one again. You may like him, but for me, not again.
